I am absolutely elated. I am just very happy. Yesterday me and my wife went to our neighbour’s house for their Diwali party and I simply can’t get over it. It was too good. I felt so much happiness and peace.
They had lit the entire house with candles. It was looking out of world. There were so many beautiful aromatic candles. I loved the entire set- up. Everyone was dressed up in South Indian clothes. My wife wore the orange sari she had purchased especially for this occasion. I must say that she was looking gorgeous. She tried very hard and made me wear those cloths but on that point I was adamant.
My neighbour told us a lot about how Diwali is celebrated. He told me about lights, delicious sweets, family prayers, fire crackers and decorating the house. I must say- it was a very amazing description. To think that at some place, everyone enjoy a festival in the same spirit is so good. It reminded me of Christmas.
We had tasty delicacies there. I even picked up some Hindi words. Hahahahaha. Everybody was laughing when I spoke them. I guess I was sounding very funny. But still I loved the entire experience.
Festivals are so very good. They break the monotony of life and give us a reason to celebrate and enjoy. They tell us that life has so many happy moments. They bring families together and create a casual, fun mood. Festivals are really very important.
I am so happy I have got out of my terrible mood. I really would have missed out on something so sweet had I not come here. I am sure my wife is going to give me a long lecture when I will tell her this. As always she is right. But it’s all right. I am thankful for the change.
Let me take your leave now. Please take care. Bye.
The ‘common man’ told his wife how much he loved being at the Diwali party while returning home. He was expecting something strong in way of a reaction. But there was no such thing. The wife looked at the common man affectionately and gave him a hug.
