Do you like rain? I like it very much. Rain, I feel is magical. Water droplets falling from sky- I must say that it is the most amazing sight in this world. When rain falls on leaves- they look so bright and fresh. I love rain.
I remember when I was a kid, I used to get a major scolding from my mom and sister for getting wet in rain. They used to keep an eye on me whenever it started raining. But the moment my mom would go in the kitchen, I used to run outside and get wet in rain. It gave me immense happiness.
I find getting wet in rain very therapeutic. It just makes you feel so good and peaceful. It makes you remember the little joys of life. It makes you laugh and it makes you cry. It makes you live life all over again.
I find it strange that today’s kids do not revel in this pleasure of life. Both my kids hate rain. They say that rain makes everything so messy and so dirty. They huddle inside their rooms when it is raining. They say that I make a big deal about it. How should I make them understand what they are missing out on?
When I was a kid, my resolution was to get wet in rain atleast once in a year. I mean to say getting properly wet- I mean devoting some time to just getting wet. I still follow this routine every year. No matter what happens I do it. It makes me feel complete.
This year I have been waiting for rain eagerly. But except for a drizzle, there has not been much rain. Today the sky is enveloped with black clouds. I have a feeling that it will rain very hard today. Oh God!!!!! Please send rain. I really want to enjoy is so, so much.
But let me take your leave now. I am going in the kitchen to make a cup of coffee for me. Now I will sit in the balcony, have my coffee and wait for rain. This is my most precious time. Please take care. Bye.
The coffee cup sat by the side of the table half drunk. The “common man” didn’t have time to complete it. He ran to the terrace because God had answered his prayer. It was raining heavily.
