In my family- all of us like to have different breakfast in the morning. We have tried a couple of times to reach a midway but it is of no avail.
I can’t think of anything other than toast and black coffee in breakfast. It is my staple breakfast. I swear by it. I have been having this as long as I remember. I distinctly remember my mom forcing me to have a glass of milk early in morning before going to school. Those were really hard days. I just hate milk like anything. I can’t put that thing in my mouth. Thank God- my mom understood this (very, very late) and stopped badgering me.
I love the smell of coffee and the idea of having it every morning infuses a new energy in me. I really enjoy my breakfast. Now my wife is completely different. She has an aversion to coffee. She loves to have a glass of juice every morning with egg white. She has been eating it since childhood and can’t live without it. She claims that this is the best breakfast for everyone and has tried many times that I also follow the same routine. She loves eggs. She finds them very tasty and nutritious.
Our kids on the other hand are completely different from us. They love having cereal in morning. Frankly speaking, I hate, hate, hate breakfast cereals. But my kids find it cool and I have also discovered that cereals are good for health. So I think it is absolutely fine.
My kids tell me that a lot of people start their day with cereals and this trend is catching up very fast. So I guess- this is good. I am happy they are eating something good for their health.
So everyday in the morning, we all sit on the table munching on our favourite breakfast. I think it is better than forcing each other to eat something that they don’t want to have. Everyone has their own taste.
Let me take your leave now. I have to prepare coffee and then head towards the office. It’s going to be a busy day. Please take care. Bye.
The ‘common man’ prepared coffee and sat down on the table. The wife was looking at his coffee and toast with disdain. The kids were looking at their mother’s egg and juice with disdain. The common man was looking at his kid’s cereal with disdain. They all wondered how could the other one eat it.
